ewoTALK #1 – Design and design thinking as a driver of innovation and creativity for companies

January 1, 2015
ewoTALKS
Designer Jörg Boner from Zurich, designer and professor of product design at the Free University of Bolzano Nitzan Cohen and editor-in-chief of the Frankfurt/Main-based design magazine "form" Stephan Ott took part in the discussion at Museion. The event was moderated by Susanne Barta from ewo.
The starting point for the ewoTALK is the exhibition "Design is a state of mind" curated by Martino Gamper, which opened last week at Museion. There is much discussion about what design can achieve today, what it should achieve and what role designers play in social change processes. In the editorial of the current issue of "form", Stephan Ott reminds us that design primarily shapes relationships. Above all, it is about creating connections and highlighting contexts.
This process has also led to the development of the design thinking method, which is intended to facilitate new forms of collaboration. On this evening, the participants will discuss possible impulses for companies and the implementation of these concepts in practice from different (design) perspectives.
