Challenges and opportunities of artistic-entrepreneurial collaborations
Matthias Mühling, Director of the Lenbachhaus, Munich, Hannes Wohlgemuth from ewo and Mark Möllenbruck from the internationally successful design studio Meiré und Meiré, Cologne, took part in the discussion at Museion. The discussion was moderated by Susanne Barta from ewo.
Experts say that we are currently and will increasingly be working in open systems. Living and working in open systems requires special skills: Autonomy, profile, positioning and the willingness to act flexibly, creatively and prudently in a constantly changing environment. Innovative thinking and action are particularly at home in the field of art. How much does business need art? How much does art need business? The extent to which companies can be fields of action for artists, how entrepreneurial cultural commitment can succeed and how processes of cooperation can be fruitful for all sides was discussed on this evening.
