Inn Bridge, Innsbruck (AUT)
The new Inn bridge is so much more than just a path leading from one bank of the Inn to the other. ewo supplied the customized bridge lighting.
The Inn bridge as a connecting path and viewing platform
The famous Innsbruck Inn Bridge has been redesigned and modernized by architect Rainer Köberl. With its new lines, the bridge now welcomes tourists and citizens alike, who can rediscover and linger at this urban vantage point. The four triangular protrusions make the Inn Bridge more than just a way to get from one side of the Inn to the other as quickly as possible. They also transform the bridge into a place from which to enjoy the fabulous view of the old town and the picturesque row of houses on the left bank of the Inn.
To complete the redesign, Köberl and the lighting designer from conceptlicht Manfred Draxl designed new, completely customized and therefore unique luminaires, which ewo was allowed to produce for the Austrian city.

A festive hat for the Inn Bridge
The name chosen for this creation is "Festive Hat". The body created has a cylindrical shape and two light sources that complement each other and allow both direct and indirect photometric distribution. The PMMA outer cylinder contains a funnel-shaped brass reflector in which a COB LED is mounted, which emits its light at 3,100 K upwards by means of concave glass optics towards the secondary high-gloss aluminum reflector. The lower cover made of tempered glass contains a ring with 32x asymmetric AS07 lenses (Asymmetric Side Throw) with a beam angle of up to 60 degrees.
The twelve lights, six on each side, mounted 4 meters above the sidewalk and cycle path, create a relaxing atmosphere for tourists, joggers or passers-by who want to linger and admire the landscape.
“With this project, we were once again able to tailor a product to the customer's idea while continuing to pursue our mission: empowering wellbeing outdoors.
