As part of a renovation of the ice rink in Kassel, ewo equipped the arena with high-performance floodlights that meet the requirements in terms of design and television broadcasting.
Powerful lighting for professional ice hockey
The Kassel Huskies professional ice hockey team is playing under new ewo lighting! The Nordhessen Arena, which also serves as a concert hall, underwent extensive renovation in 2021.
As part of this project, ewo supplied 90 high-performance floodlights in various versions of the R-System gen3 model. The lighting project was developed in collaboration with electrical installation company Landwehr + Schultz, which was responsible for renovating the stadium's lighting system.
The basic requirement was homogeneous lighting distribution that would ensure high visibility both on the playing field and on TV screens for fans across the country. To achieve this result, asymmetrical optics from the EP09 (E series) and symmetrical optics from the AH01 (A series) were used.
