Port of Venice (ITA)
At the Molo di Ponente port terminal in Venice, ewo achieved energy savings of over 80% with high-mast systems.
Sustainable development thanks to advanced technology
The port of Venice is seeking to implement sustained development of its structures. LED technology high-mast systems by ewo contribute towards this objective by a reduction in energy consumption of over 80%. Apart from illuminating some 75,000 m² of the central handling area with 11 high mast systems, lighting systems by ewo are also being used for the illumination of the secondary areas that account for 15,000 m².
Within the course of this project, some 2,600 type DP31 lighting units were fitted and the configuration of the lighting units as defined by the planner TiFS Ingegneria covers 9 CREE XP-G type high performance LEDs with a luminous flux of 139 lm/LED in the light color Cool White (6,000 K). The light management system in use and the consequent possibility of optimised light control contributes to a further significant reduction in energy consumption.
