Chameleon illuminates Stefan Diez' “Vert Pavilion” in London

Designer Stefan Diez, together with the greening experts from OMCC and in collaboration with the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), has created an innovative “Greening Machine” in London—including lighting by ewo.

The “Vert Pavilion” was created as part of the London Design Festival at Chelsea College of Arts: The impressive 10m high wooden structure made from sustainable red oak was created to combat rising temperatures and declining biodiversity in cities. Over 20 climbing plants cool the air, provide shade and create a home for insects.

For this project, Stefan Diez, with whom ewo has already collaborated, decided to use ewo’s award-winning Chameleon projector to provide scenic, accentuated lighting for the innovative greenery structure. With its minimalist design, Chameleon blends perfectly into the structure of the “Vert Pavilion” and its precise light distribution prevents unnecessary radiation into the night sky.
