Eclipse

A solar eclipse is a dynamic natural phenomenon in which both the color temperature and the light distribution change. When the moon is exactly in front of the sun (total solar eclipse), we see a warm ring of fire in the sky, while during a partial solar eclipse the light is more strongly aligned in one direction.

Like the solar eclipse, Eclipse can switch between two lighting modes: a functional light, where our A–Series lenses provide precise and uniform illumination of the room, and a warm, soft light that ensures maximum energy savings and environmental friendliness at night. 

Eclipse is an intelligent luminaire that dynamically adapts to its surroundings. Thanks to numerous configuration and mounting options, it offers maximum flexibility and adapts perfectly to any urban context. The dynamic luminaire ensures that people always feel safe and comfortable, while protecting wildlife and the night sky and keeping energy consumption low. Eclipse is available with different levels of intelligence to meet every requirement and project complexity. 

The luminaire was designed by Swiss designer Jörg Boner: “The rounded shape of Eclipse, which is inspired by the traditional lampshade, evokes a sense of familiarity in the observer on the one hand and blends perfectly into urban landscapes on the other.”
