The “T–System” is based on a modular system: the system is equipped with a specific number of LED modules to match the existing lighting requirements. This concept makes it possible to regulate the output in small stages – you can make sure that only just enough energy is consumed to achieve the desired requirements.
In the Calcinate project, the level of lighting in the area of the roundabout, in accordance with EN 13201 (classification CE2), was achieved by providing an average lighting intensity of 20 lx. Engineer Alain Mazzocchi, Province of Bergamo project manager, said the following about the energy-saving potential: "We achieved an energy saving of over 40% compared with the originally intended solution by using LED technology."
Type “DP31” system modules were used, provided by cor light, a subsidiary of ewo, working in the field of development and marketing of LED technology.
The modules are operated at 350 mA and each produces an output of 10.8 W. Each module contains 3x3 CREE XP-G LEDs with an output of 139 lm/LED (6000 K). The precision optical system is designed to avoid completely the emission of scattered light in the upper hemisphere, thus completely eliminating light pollution.
