The Kassel Huskies’ professional hockey season takes place in a new light. The ice rink, which also serves as a concert hall, underwent an extensive summer renovation.
In this context, ewo supplied 90 high-power reflectors in different variants of the R−System gen3 model. The lighting project began as a collaboration with the electrical installation company Landwehr + Schultz, who were commissioned to renovate the lighting system in the stadium.
The key requirement was a homogeneous light distribution, which at the same time allowed high-level visibility on the pitch as well as on the screens of the fans’ devices throughout the country. To achieve this, asymmetrical EP09 (E−Series) and symmetrical AH01 (A−Series) optics were used in combination.
Thanks to the know-how in lighting design and the ability to deliver the luminaires at short notice - the project began in March 2021 and was completed at the end of the summer of the same year - ewo was the ideal partner to meet the lighting requirements of this sports venue.
