City Lighting, Bressanone (ITA)

The Kleine Graben in Bressanone's city center was upgraded a few years ago with the well-being of the people in mind. "Shared space" is the principle behind the new street concept. Calm traffic, paved areas and a pleasant atmosphere for pedestrians and cyclists. And ewo luminaires that underline the well-considered infrastructure with smart lighting and RGBW light.

ewo has been using LED technology in Bressanone since 2014 and is continuously expanding it. In 2018, 31 FO460 pole-mounted luminaires with 3000 K and CRI ≥ 70 and 5 m high poles were supplied for the zone on the Kleiner Graben. On behalf of the Bressanone city marketing department, 20 of these ewo 2022 luminaires were modified with RGBW LED modules in order to create suitable lighting moods for the street concept and, above all, for special events—such as color transitions or night-time dimming. An external Zhaga node was also installed to enable intelligent control.

In 2023, ewo's installations on the Kleiner Graben were also part of the internationally renowned Water Light Festival: various color scenes were created with the help of connexx technology—a static staging of blue and a dynamic staging of three different shades of blue adapted the lighting in the Kleiner Graben to the theme of the event. The Water Light Festival was followed by several other events where the smart lighting technology from connexx was able to contribute to an all-round atmospheric ambience: The Summer Emotion event played with yellow, pink and red; Dine, Wine & Music alternated between two shades of pink and two shades of green; and the Bike Festival shone in three different shades of orange.
