Ritz Carlton, Fari Islands (MDV)
We have equipped two new luxury resorts on the Fari Islands in the Maldives with atmospheric, individual lighting.
Atmospheric resort lighting in the paradise of the Maldives
We have equipped the outdoor areas and jetties of two new luxury resorts on the Fari Islands with bollards of the if round model including a special diffuser on behalf of the lighting design cponsultancy The Flaming Beacon.
Over 1,000 units in the color RAL9011 were provided for the Ritz Carlton Resort. Some are attached to the sides of the wooden walkways, one of which leads to the impressive circular spa in the center of the resort. The Patina Resort, on the other hand, was illuminated with over 1,000 units in the "Rusty Iron" finish, which harmonizes with the resort's colors. Warm white lighting of 2,200 K was used for both resorts to create a cozy atmosphere in harmony with the surrounding landscape.

Individual light distributions and mounting options
Thanks to the ability to select the most suitable photometric distributions, the number of luminaires installed has been minimized:
- Lenses of type AP07 Extra Forward Throw for the villas and
- AP06 Extra Side Throw for walkways and footbridges.
The luminaires were offered with two different mounting systems: a plate for side mounting on the bars and a telescopic element for floor mounting.
Due to the location of the projects in the middle of the Indian Ocean, in an environment with a high salt content, the bollards were subjected to the advanced surface treatment ewoECP (Extreme Corrosion Protection). This ensured consistent quality over the long term.
“This project is a prime example of ewo's mission: with the help of discreet lighting, it was possible to enhance the well-being of all guests outdoors.
