Wimbachexpress, Zillertal (AUT)
In 2018, ewo was commissioned to provide lighting for a high-speed cable car project around the Spieljochbahn in a popular ski resort in the Zillertal valley.
Illuminated staging for cable car
In December 2018, the Wimbachexpress high-speed cable car project in Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach was opened, including the Albergo summit restaurant. This project is a continuation of the unique Spieljochbahn concept.
Once again, ewo created spectacular, controllable RGBW lighting for the lift track of the Wimbachexpress gondola lift in collaboration with Klaus Hochschwarzer and LEITNER ropeways.
For this project, high-performance floodlights, which are usually used for large area lighting, were equipped with RGB LEDs. The panels of the R–System were adapted to illuminate the surroundings with various eye-catching color combinations. Two variants of the R–System were used, R1 and R2, with one or two LED panels, each with 128 LEDs.
